 Hello Dave. Its not about cutting costs - that kind of weld wouldn’t cost anything in the grand scheme of putting a frame together. Depending on the batch there were different weld paths. Some are welded fully (all the way round), some are welded with only a return on the backside. Both are fine although I would argue the fully round weld looks better lol.

The team are split between these back ends, again depending on when their frames came of the production line - cos as you know we use 100% stock frames, just paint them speedy red.

And you ask what happens if they break and its easy for sponsored riders ect. Its easy for any customer to contact either Saracen or Madison customer care and as with every post 2009 Saracen bike we'll help sort it quickly and efficiently.

 two6ftw - its not someone elses re-hased idea... Its based on the Ariel 140 that is our design.

In addition to better ride feel, the linkage stiffens the back end.

Lance switched to MZ coil as he's not sponsored by fox...
